This is a fantastic, FREE way to convert text in an image or picture and then copy it; save it; amend it and generally put it to your own use.
So if you see any images online which contain text with information that you would really like to use, then this will save you so much valuable time.
I will show you how to take the text from the picture and save it in a variety of forms to suit your needs, including saving to Microsoft Word, as a PDF document and several others or you can simply copy and paste for you to save wherever it suits you. This could be used, for example, to extract and save all of the text in the images in my last post on this blog. This is exactly what I did and I will show you the end product. As with anything, practice makes perfect. The more times you try this, the easier and quicker it gets. After a few attempts, you will be able to take large chunks of text and put it to your own use, in just over a minute, whereas typing from an image would take so much longer, as well as being laborious.
At the end of this post you will find the short video from where I extracted this information, but you may find, as I do, images of the important stages with step by step illustrations are much easier to follow until looking back at this post and making just a few attempts, enables you to do this straight from the top of your head.
Above is an example of a screenshot that I took from the earlier video in my last post and which you just need to save to your desktop, such that you can immediately recognise it.
Then, as in the image below, go to Google.com and sign in to your Google Account if you have one. If not, then sign up for one. It’s easy to do, just click on the “CREATE AN ACCOUNT” red button and follow the instructions.
Once you are in your Google Account, then click on Google Drive, as in the image below.
Then simply upload the file or files that you want to extract the text from.
The image below illustrates how to do this.
First, click on the red upload button (1) next to the red “CREATE” button.
Then click on “Files” (2).
Then simply select your file or files from your desktop or wherever else you saved your document.
Again the image below illustrates this.
You will see the next stage in the following image.
Once the upload is complete, you will see the notification at “1”.
“2” shows you where you should then find your document.
Then click on “Open with”, as at “3”.
Finally, click on “Google Drive Viewer at “4”.
That’s it. Well done…you’ve done it! It really is that simple to extract text from a picture. The image below shows the converted text, which is below the original picture.
Now to show you how to save the text that you have extracted from a picture and put it to use so that you will be able to use it which ever you want to.
Just follow the directions in the next image below. With your converted text document open: –
- Click on “File”
- Click on “Download as”
- Choose how to download or copy and paste, using the various options.
Alternatively, just copy and paste the saved text that you have extracted from the various pictures that you have converted, to your favourite means of dealing with text e.g. Microsoft Word or Pages on a Mac. etc.
Below is an example of the final page of the text that I saved from the images in my last post.
What this shows is that I have taken the important parts (for me) from a huge amount of information given in a fantastic training video but which lasted for 90 minutes.
I have then taken screenshots of the important images and in a fraction of the time it would take to copy type the text in the scripts, I now have all of the same on one document that I can amend to my style, then copy and paste wherever I want to.
I can then use those scripts over and over again, when recruiting targeted leads on Facebook, as shown in the last post.
The converted text is below. It is a screenshot of Pages – the Mac equivalent of Microsoft Word, i.e. a picture. If you wanted this script, then you could simply use the above process and you could use it whichever way you wanted to. This would only make sense after reading my last blog post. You would need to go through the previous stages before using these questions, as explained in the last blog post.
This simple and FREE training can be put to use, over and over and over again, in so many ways and should be an aid to helping you to get leads to help your business grow because we all see images with scripts that we can use on a regular basis.
I hope that you will get some value from it. Let me know if you do. Feel free to add any comments.
I will be adding more useful tips and training on a regular basis. Feel free to stop by. 🙂
Below is the promised short video. It’s only 4 minutes and 39 seconds long and can be used to clarify anything that may not be too clear, for which I would apologise. As I said, personally, I do find these things so much easier to follow in this format, rather than certain videos which cram in so much great information but it can take ages to follow, with all those stops and starts. It’s often easier and much quicker for the trainer to cram things into videos but it can be very time consuming for the trainee with so many necessary stops and starts.
So, once again, I hope this helps you to get where you want to go. Personally, I can’t wait to get started on those Facebook Recruiting scripts!
Here’s that video.
